Eco Activities

Since O'Reilly's opened its doors for Easter 1926, our Discovery Program has been a real highlight for our guests. The program is also an integral part of O'Reilly's commitment to sharing knowledge and awareness of the World Heritage Lamington National Park and its unique inhabitants.

Guests regularly comment on how amazed they are by how much they see and learn when they choose to join one of our Discovery guides. We show you things you would never have found on your own, and elaborate on these findings with fascinating insights into the intricacies of the rainforest ecosystem. We encourage you to get involved where your knowledge, experience and enjoyment will be enriched, and you'll be sure to meet some interesting characters from both the human and animal worlds.

"Birds of Prey" flight show

See awesome aerial predators including owls, falcons and eagles in free flight as they perform amazing displays of natural aerobatics.

O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk

Walk through a canopy of flowering and fruiting trees covered by vines whilst you explore the epiphytic orchids and ferns surrounded by the many birds and animals that inhabit the tree tops.

Flying Fox

An exhilarating way to energise your group. Feel the wind in your face and fear in your heart as you zip down the 180m cable and contemplate the forest floor 25 metres below. Running daily this 2 hr adventure suits young and old and is a fantastic way to get the blood pumping or wear out the kids as they run back up the hill to fly again.
